Ongina

Ongina was selected as one of nine contestants for the inaugural season of RuPaul's Drag Race (also known as The Lost Season) and was officially announced on February 2, 2009. She made an appearance in the Extra Special Edition mid-season recap episode next to RuPaul. Outside of S1, she made a cameo appearance on the first season of RuPaul's Drag Race: All-Stars. She appeared as a guest for the first challenge in the premiere of S10 and S11; as well as the S10 finale. She also made five appearances in the first and second season of RuPaul's Drag U. She was in the 2009 music video for - I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas. An animated version of Ongina appeared in the RuPaul's Drag Race: Dragopolis 2.0 mobile app. She appeared in different episodes of the WOWPresents web series including Fashion Photo Review, Wait, What? and others. She is currently working with amFAR for the Epic Voices - Countdown to the Cure Campaign which aims to reenergize the response to HIV among Millennial and LGBTQ+ communities. The campaign also aims to renew awareness of the persistent threat of HIV, the urgent need to support HIV research and amFAR's leadership in the search for a cure!
