Luz Pazos is a Peruvian born writer/comedian lighting up the Los Angeles comedy scene with her edgy, in-your-face take on new age feminism and the American Dream through the lens of the LatinX third-world experience. Luz can next be seen on the highly anticipated HBOMax series, THE GARCIAS (reboot of THE BROS. GARCIA) recurring as the dimwitted salon assistant “Gloria”. She is a mainstay at the major clubs around town including the Comedy Store, Improv Hollywood and Laugh Factory where her honed skills earned her a spot on the HBOMax comedy showcase Chingonas (set below). She was a finalist for Stand Up NBC in 2018 and has made appearances on THE KROLL SHOW for Comedy Central as well as Comedy Time and PBS. Her comedy has been featured at festivals across the country including Asheville, SheDot, SoCal’s Ventura Comedy Festival and the All Jane Comedy Festival in Portland, OR. A former beauty queen and actress of stage and telenovelas, Luz arrived in the US from Peru via Italy, where she studied for six years, acquiring degrees in theater and literature and is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian.
